Welcome to the Bell Area Animal
Shelter website.  Please take a look
and see if you find someone you have
lost or someone you would like to
make a member of your family.

We dedicate our lives to helping all
the lost or unwanted souls that come
our way a safe, loving, responsible,
happy home.

"Until one has loved an animal, a
part of one's soul remains
unawakened."
Directions to our shelter:

Coming from Temple exit the Main St
exit and take a left at the stop sign
and follow the frontage road, you
will see a cash and carry carpet
place, and we are just down from
that on the right.

Coming from Killeen exit IH 35/
TX-317/TX-436/Connell St exit onto
frontage road then turn right on the
frontage road by the cash and carry
carpet place and we will be just
down from that on the right.
A pet is a lifetime commitment and
adopting should never be done on
impulse. Do your research and a lot of
soul searching. Yes, there will be joy,
love and highs. But there will also be
periods of lows & frustration.  Every
adult animal in a shelter was once a
puppy or kitten that someone thought
they couldn't live without. Now they are
abandoned and left to die while more
puppies are being adopted. If you are not
prepared for living with and committing
10-15 years to your new family addition,
do not adopt.
PETS ARE NOT DISPOSABLE.

attatched to there kennel as to
there history, temperment, and
personal Info on that animal.

Senior to Senior Program

Recognizing the need for older animals to find
good homes. This program has two components
that allow senior citizens to adopt senior animals at
a cost of $10 dollars and the program encourages
seniors and non-seniors alike to consider older
animals by educating the public of the benefits.

Often, people are looking for a calm pet, and
senior animals just want a quiet home to spend their
golden years and a warm lap and friendly face to
love them back !
